Mosaic Workshop

Join Amy on May 4, 2019, 1-4 pm in her private studio (Far North Dallas, near George Bush & Coit) for a mosaic workshop. 

 Inside Amy’s studio, you can choose from her extensive collection of tesserae (broken dishes, tiles, and embellishments) that she has collected over the past 10+ years. You may also select from specialty supplies like gold & cream china and her fine china mix. She offers lots of embellishments, including 9 different types of letters to personalize your mosaic with special words.

 Choose from over 100 different shapes:

• Faith (crosses, angel, hearts, L-O-V-E, crown, Star of David, dove, anchor)
• Animals (rabbit, cat, dogs, elephant, chicken, pig, fish, dolphin, shark, bear)
• Western (Texas, boot, hat, longhorn)
• Music (music note, piano, drum, guitar)
• Birds/Butterflies (owl, hummingbird, dragonfly, butterflies, parrot, eagle)
• Miscellaneous (circle, birdhouse, teapot, teacup, flowers, cupcake, chess knight, lighthouse, minis, house, star)

 See the photo at the bottom of the upcoming workshops page to view the selection. Don’t see a shape you want, register early enough and Amy will try to find a pattern online and create your customized shape.

 All supplies are provided. During the workshop, you glue tesserae onto to a base. Amy gives detailed instructions to guide you as you create and offers feedback as needed. Each mosaic is uniquely designed by you. Amy grouts your mosaic and has it ready for pick up within a week after the workshop.
